Her name is Miriam, a single mother in Norway, a cancer survivor, and a Catholic convert in progress.
She found Truthly while asking whether God truly exists. She was facing opposition from her parents, navigating a custody situation, and battling illness and exhaustion alongside it all.
She emailed us. Here's part of what she wrote:
This app has not just taught me about the Catholic faith. It has led me home.
I attended my first Sunday Mass. I purchased my first rosary and had it blessed by a priest. I discovered Saint Michael the Archangel, whom I have felt close to since childhood, and learned that this devotion is deeply and beautifully Catholic.
I learned about Saint Benedict and now wear both medallions around my neck. I brought holy water home and blessed every room in my apartment. I bought my first Catholic Bible and I have begun to understand the Church, the sacraments, Mary, the saints, and the love of God in ways I never did before.
I came to Truthly broken, lonely, sick, and searching. I leave every conversation a little more whole, a little more certain, and a little more in love with Jesus and His Church.
We built Truthly because we believe every person deserves a place to ask honest questions and find real answers, at 2 a.m., in a hard season, alone with their doubts. Miriam's story is why.
