Today is the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. I want to tell you something that most of you don't know.
Two years ago, my co-founder Jake left his corporate career to build Truthly. He had no income and a runway that was disappearing fast. He had a wife and four young kids depending on him. He and his wife decided to sell their home to keep building.
They got some interest. A few showings came and went. No one called back for a second look.
Jake took his family to our parish's Fatima celebration. Walking out of Mass, his phone lit up, the first second-showing request since they'd listed the house. Within days, a cash offer followed.
That offer kept Truthly alive. I don't know how to say that more plainly. Without it, Truthly never gets built. You wouldn't be reading this blog post.
Jake and his family gave up an enormous amount to build something they believed was worth building: a tool that could help Catholics go deeper in their faith, and take others with them.
Our Lady, it seems, agreed it was worth finishing.
